Rosa Amanda Tuirán is a Mexican filmmaker, photographer and journalist based in the Bay Area, with an immense passion for the ocean. Underwater photography has been a vessel to create conscience about the environment and open up this mysterious and fantastic world to non-divers.
Rosa Amanda received her B.A in International Relations from the prestigious Mexican university Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in 2016 and has done extensive research on the Mexican government security policy towards drug trafficking. She also worked as a video producer for BuzzFeed News and co-produced a weekly segment on American Politics for Milenio Televisión.
Rosa Amanda is always seeking to work and investigate stories about immigration, culture, religion and environmental issues.
Rosa Amanda is currently studying her Master of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley.
